Bouygues plans capital increase, offloads masts

French mobile operator Bouygues Telecom signed a E205m deal with Antin Infrastructure for the sale and management of over 2,000 masts in France.

The telco will control a 15% stake in France Pylones Services (FPS), which will own and manage the assets – with the majority of masts transferred this year, and the remaining few hundred by Q2 2013.

The telco will receive a net total of around E185m for the deal, which it plans to use to reduce debt.
