Myanmar telcos target ‘US$4bn’ in savings

Telenor and Ooredoo are in talks to explore the potential benefits of joint tower operations, Ooredoo’s chief strategy officer has announced.

Speaking at a conference in Dubai, Ooredoo’s Jeremy Sell said: “It’s a green-field launch and we’re going to build the network in partnership with Telenor… there are no towers that are so strategic you can’t share them”, allowing both companies to make ‘considerable savings’.
